Odor Case Study – Ecoparc Maresme Spain

Environmental Integrated Solutions Ltd, along with our Spanish partner STA, supplied and installed an Advanced Biofilter, an Ammonia Scrubber and a high efficiency Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) to treat the odorous air from the Composting and Anaerobic Biodigestion processes at Maresme near Barcelona in Spain. Because of the large air volume and in order to minimize the footprint, the Advanced Biofilter was installed on three separate levels. The overall odor outlet limit was guaranteed at < 1000 OuE/Nm³ but the system actually achieved an overall odor outlet of < 550 OuE/Nm³.
